This is absolutely one of the premiere resorts on Maui - or for that matter, any destination. The hotel, or shall we say, the Grand Wailea - for it truly is grand, is located on 40 acres on the south shore of Wailea about 17 miles from the Kahului Airport. The courtyard area just off the main beach is dominated by the Wailea Seaside Chapel. There are six restaurants on site and several venues for wedding receptions including the Grand Dinning Room and open air accommodations contagious to the beach.
An absolute visual paradise, I thoroughly enjoyed the first evenings romantic shoot with the couple both in front of the Chapel and then, as the couple danced and held each other in the courtyard area in front of the dolphin reflecting pool. The images captured from the balcony overlooking the courtyard wiht the setting sun over the pacific as backdrop well captured the emotion and beauty of the moment.
